Information collected automatically

  • Our web server records technical details such as your IP address, browser type, the pages requested, and the date and time. We use this to keep the site secure and working. We also briefly remember your IP address to limit repeated or abusive form submissions.
  • Our contact form uses a single, strictly necessary session cookie so the form can work correctly. We do not use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies, and we do not track you across other websites.

Team member information

For the BrightShine team members who use our internal scheduling and customer system, we keep a work email address, mobile number, and sign-in records so we can secure each account.

How We Use Your Information

  • To prepare and send quotes and estimates, and to schedule and perform cleaning services.
  • To answer your questions and reply to your messages.
  • To send appointment confirmations and other service-related communications.
  • To process payments, keep business and tax records, and meet legal obligations.
  • To protect our website, systems, team and customers from fraud, abuse and security threats, including verifying sign-ins with one-time codes.
  • To maintain and improve our website and services.

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not send marketing or promotional text messages.

Text Messages (SMS)

We use text messages in a limited way:

  • Security codes: one-time login verification codes sent to authorized BrightShine team members when they sign in to our internal system.
  • Service messages: replies and service-related texts, such as appointment confirmations or answers to a question, sent to customers who have given us their mobile number and asked us to text them, or who texted us first.

We do not send marketing or promotional text messages. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies. You can reply STOP at any time to stop receiving texts from us, or HELP for help. See our Text Messaging Terms for details.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We use Twilio only as the service that delivers our text messages on our behalf.

How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited ways:

  • Service providers that help us run the business and only for that purpose: Hostinger (website hosting and business email), Twilio (text message delivery) and PayPal (payments you choose to make).
  • Google Fonts: our pages load fonts from Google, so your browser contacts Google’s servers and Google receives your IP address when a page loads.
  • Our team, only to the extent needed to schedule and perform your service.
  • When the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request, or to protect the rights, property or safety of BrightShine, our team or others.
  • A business transfer, if BrightShine is ever sold or merged, in which case your information would stay protected by this policy.

Links to other sites, such as our Facebook page or PayPal, lead to services with their own privacy practices. We are not responsible for what they do with your information.

How Long We Keep It

We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above, including serving you, keeping business and tax records, resolving disputes and meeting legal requirements. After that we delete it or remove anything that identifies you. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (see Your Choices below).

How We Protect It

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards, including password-protected access, one-time verification codes for team sign-ins, and limiting access to information to the people who need it. No website or system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we work to protect your information and will act promptly if a problem occurs.

Your Choices

  • See, correct or delete your information: email us at brightshineco@yahoo.com and we will help. We may need to confirm it is really you first, and we may keep records we are legally required to keep.

  • Stop emails: tell us in a reply or at the email address above.
  • Your state’s privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as to know what we hold, to correct or delete it, or to opt out of its sale or sharing for advertising. We do not sell your information or share it for advertising. Contact us to make any request.

Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
